Jerwood Makers Open Call for Entries 2014

For: Artists who are UK resident and are ‘early career’ – within 10 years of graduating or setting up their practice

Media: Makers working in any applied arts discipline

Submission requirements: Apply online. Submit an 800 word statement outlining the proposal for new work or works; why you want to make the work(s)/how you perceive the opportunity will benefit and develop your practice; and the materials and processes to be used. Include timescale for making (from concept development to completion and delivery of work) and outline budget. Include a CV and a maximum of six images of current work or work in progress (files no larger than 500kb)

Conditions: For proposed work and commissions

Location: The Jerwood Makers Open exhibition will open within Jerwood Visual Arts at Jerwood Space, London

Costs: £20 entry fee. 20% commission + VAT on works sold

Prize: Five commissions of £7,500 will be awarded to artists to create new work, which will be exhibited as part of the JVA programme at Jerwood Space, London
